Media Library & Creative Review
Upload creative assets, review placements before they are pushed to a platform, and see what evidence exists for each creative
Last updated 11 Oct 2026Review · article 5 of 5
The Media library holds your creative assets and shows, for each one, whether it has been reviewed, whether it reached a platform, and what delivery evidence exists. Open Media library in the sidebar, under the Build group (or go to /workspace/media-library).
Anyone with media read access, viewers included, can browse the library. Uploading, tagging, deleting, and deciding reviews need media write access, which editors, admins, and owners have.
Approving a creative here is an internal governance decision. It requests a governed push to the ad platform, and live execution against external ad platforms is connector-gated and not enabled by default. Platform approval and delivery are verified separately.
Health at a Glance
Four tiles summarize the library. Select a tile to filter the Creatives tab to it.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Needs action | A placement was rejected internally, or a platform push failed or is unsupported |
| Awaiting decision | A placement waits for review, or a platform write waits for execution approval. This is a superset of the Review queue tab |
| Delivery observed | The creative was sent to a platform and a linked campaign that synced in the last 24 hours is active with impressions |
| Unverified | The evidence is incomplete. Missing data is never read as a good sign |
| Unplaced | The asset is not attached to any active placement. It has its own tab rather than a tile |
Delivery observed is campaign-level evidence. It does not prove that this particular creative served.
The Tabs
- Overview — Act first lists up to four of the highest-priority exceptions among the creatives loaded, each with Inspect evidence, above the full Creative evidence list.
- Creatives — every asset as a card, with a search box (name, platform, or tag), filters for health, format (Images, Video, Audio, Files), platform, and advertiser, and a sort order (highest priority first, newest, oldest, or by name). Load more creatives pages through the library; Clear all resets the filters.
- Review queue — placements waiting for a decision (see below). A badge shows the count.
- Unplaced assets — assets with no active placement.
Open a tab directly with /workspace/media-library?tab=review, or creatives or unplaced in place of review.
Each card shows a preview, the health status, a summary, size, dimensions, placement count, and three signals: Review, Platform push, and Delivery, with the linked campaign's impressions, CTR, and spend as context. Inspect evidence opens a side panel with every signal, its scope, its source, and when it was checked; the linked campaigns; each placement's review and push status; and the asset's details.
Cesteral does not receive a creative-level approval status, creative-level performance, or message-freshness checks from platforms, so those signals read as unverified. Campaign evidence reads Checked recently within 6 hours, Evidence aging within 24, and Evidence stale after that.
Uploading and Organizing
Select Upload (hidden on the review tab) and choose one or more files. An upload needs an active project, so choose one first. The upload dialog offers images, video, audio, and PDF, and the library accepts these types up to these sizes:
| Kind | Accepted types | Largest file |
|---|---|---|
| Image | JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG, AVIF | 50 MB |
| Video | MP4, WebM, QuickTime, AVI | 500 MB |
| Audio | MP3 (MPEG), WAV, OGG, AAC, WebM | 50 MB |
| File | PDF, ZIP, JSON, CSV, plain text | 100 MB |
Uploads also count against your plan's storage allowance. Files you attach to a chat message follow separate limits, described under Attaching Files in Chat.
On a card, Edit tags opens a dialog of key-value tags. Save tags replaces the asset's full set, and tags are searchable. The trash icon deletes the asset after a confirmation (Delete asset). An asset with an active placement cannot be deleted. Uploads and deletions are audited.
Reviewing Placements
A placement links an asset to an entity on an ad platform, such as a campaign or ad set. It is created when an asset is attached to that entity — typically by the assistant — and starts in review. Agents can propose a placement but cannot approve it.
Each entry in Review queue shows the preview, the platform, entity type, and entity ID (a link to the campaign when it is synced), and a format check:
- Format compatible, Format issues, or Format unverified. Issues are listed under Resolve before approval, and Approve internally is disabled while any remain.
- Approve internally marks the placement approved and requests the governed platform push in the background. The push can wait for its own execution approval in the Queue, and its progress reads Not sent, Sending, Sent to platform, Awaiting execution approval, Push failed, or Unsupported.
- Reject internally asks What must change before resubmission?; the reason is required. Reject placement records it.
Two reviewers cannot both decide the same placement: the second is told it has already been decided. The same decisions are available from an asset's evidence panel. Use the search box to find a platform or entity, and Load more reviews for older entries. Every decision is audited.
