Memory Write Node
Write or update project memory (Tier 1) from automation data
Last updated 8 Oct 2026
The Memory Write node updates project memory (Tier 1 of the tiered knowledge system) from automation data. Project memory is the structured context that is always injected into the AI assistant's prompt, so writing to it makes new context immediately available in future conversations.
When to Use
Use Memory Write when an automation produces a summary or learning that should always be in the assistant's context — for example, storing campaign learnings, research conclusions, or updated project state.
Configuration
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
action | append | replace_section | replace_all | How to update memory (default: append) |
section | string | Markdown section name. Required for append and replace_section |
contentTemplate | string | Content to write, with {{field}} placeholders resolved from the input data. Required |
projectId | string | Target project ID. If blank, the project is taken from the execution context |
Actions
- append — append the rendered content to the named
section(creating the section if needed). - replace_section — replace the named
section's contents with the rendered content. - replace_all — replace the entire project memory with the rendered content.
Example
Append a campaign summary to a "Campaign Learnings" section:
action: append
section: Campaign Learnings
contentTemplate: "{{report_title}}: {{summary}}"
Notes
- The
{{field}}placeholders are resolved from the last input row — this node is meant to follow a summarizing/aggregating step, not to run per row. - Input rows are passed through with a
_memory_write_successstatus column added. - This node writes Tier 1 project memory only. For full-text-searchable knowledge records (Tier 2), use the Knowledge Records UI and read them back with Knowledge Search. For semantic (vector) search, use KB Ingest (Tier 3).
